A Night Rating enables you to fly and carry passengers after dark.

Some of the most enjoyable and relaxing flying experiences occur once the sun sets. There’s nothing quite like watching the sunset and seeing the ground light up from above. Earning a Night Rating is an excellent way to build on the skills you gained while obtaining your Private License, opening up a new range of opportunities.

Prerequisites

  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age for issuance of Night Rating
  • Applicant must hold a Class 1 Medical
  • Should be able to read , write , understand and speak English

Course Details

A Night Rating permits you to serve as pilot-in-command of an aircraft from sunset until sunrise, offering greater flexibility in your scheduling. This certification allows you the freedom to return home after dark or conduct early morning departures.

What does the Night Rating Course include?

Aerius Aviators has created a comprehensive training course that meets International regulations. The Night Rating training takes place at international airports, providing you with valuable experience in operating within an international airport environment and better preparing you for your career after graduation.

The Night Rating course consists of 3 phases:

  • Theoretical Knowledge Instruction
  • 4 hours of dual flight instruction in night flight conditions with a night flight instructor
  • 1 hour as pilot-in-command, with 5 touch-and-goes landings, in night flight conditions

Requirements for Night Rating

Holder of a valid and current PPL
Holder of a valid and current Medical Class 1 Certificate
Flight Planning and performance.
Instrument training in the aircraft: 5 hours.

Program overview


Stage 1: Ground Classes in India (2-3 months)

  • 10TH And 12TH Board Verification
  • Police Verification
  • Class 2 Medical from DGCA Approved Medical Examiner
  • Computer Number from DGCA Exam Portal “Pariksha”
  • Profile Creation on Egca (e-Governance of Civil Aviation)
  • Class 1 Medical at IAF Medical Centre/ DGCA Approved Civil hospital
  • VISA Formalities
  • DGCA written Exam in Air Navigation, Meteorology and Air Regulations

Stage 2: Flying Training ABROAD (12-15 months)

  • Flying training in US, SPAIN, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, PHILIPPINES & SOUTH AFRICA
  • Issue of FOREIGN CPL, Radio Licence and ELP Certificate level 4

Stage 3: Flying Test and Licence Conversion (1-2 months)

  • Flight Tests in India in DGCA Approved Flying Training Institute
  • Compilation of documents, paperwork and submission to DGCA
  • Issue of Indian CPL by DGCA
