About Us

During his illustrious career, Captain Bhatnagar piloted a wide array of aircraft, including fighters and maritime surveillance planes, making significant contributions during pivotal moments such as the Kargil conflict of 1999. His expertise extends beyond the cockpit, as he held pivotal roles within Indian Naval Aviation, including Joint Director of Aviation Safety at Naval Headquarters in New Delhi and Commanding Officer of the Dornier 228 squadron based in Kochi. Notably, he is a certified Aviation Accident Investigator, reflecting his dedication to enhancing safety standards within the aviation sector.

Transitioning to Commercial Aviation in 2014, Captain Bhatnagar joined “IndiGo,” a leading Indian airline, as an Airbus A-320 pilot, where he served as a Senior Captain until April 2019. He later moved to “Air Asia India,” now known as “Air India Express,” assuming the role of Senior Commander until his retirement from active flying duty on February 29, 2024. His cumulative flight experience exceeds 9000 hours across military and commercial aircraft.

Holder of Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL No 2637) since December 2002, Captain Saurabh Bhatnagar holds Pilot in Command (PIC) ratings on A-320, P-68 C, and Co-pilot ratings on Do-228 aircraft, all endorsed on his ATP License. Additionally, he possesses an Open Instrument Rating, underscoring his proficiency in aviation.

Captain Bhatnagar is deeply passionate about Aviation Education, having mentored numerous aspiring pilots in CPL/ATPL/Jet Engines/RTR/Airline Entrance Exam preparation. Many of his students have achieved success in securing positions within commercial airlines in India and abroad, with several assuming roles as Type Rated Instructors and Line Training Captains.

A scholar in his own right, Captain Saurabh Bhatnagar holds a bachelor’s degree in science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, and an MBA in Aviation Management, further enriching his expertise in the aviation domain.
